A clean, uncluttered space is essential for a high-quality sauna experience. That’s why we paid attention to every millimetre of our Finnish saunas. The walls flow seamlessly into the solid exterior door, and the glass surfaces harmoniously complement the wood. The low-profile flat roof keeps the overall height to a minimum.

The large tempered double-glazed window is an ideal solution for properties located in secluded areas. It offers an uninterrupted view of the surrounding scenery while you use the sauna. Relaxing in connection with nature turns every sauna session into an unforgettable experience.

We build our Finnish saunas from spruce wood sourced from regions such as Prostějovsko, the Beskydy Mountains, or the Elbe area in northern Bohemia. The wood is also processed in the Czech Republic into durable solid panels. At What a Hut, we bring together local design and local production.

Turn off all the networks, not just the social ones

Depending on your choice of sauna heater, you can warm up the sweat room to the desired temperature in 45 to 75 minutes. Will you go for the clean design with up to 150 kilograms of stones from HUUM, or the reliable sheet-metal classic from Narvi?

Configuration of the sauna

Our portfolio is designed to meet different needs and locations. We offer a variety of bench materials, colours and brands of stoves. Together we will select the ideal configuration.

Modern technology and handcraft

We control every detail. The most advanced wood-processing technologies for solid panels allow for  precision. The saunas are then assembled and finished by hand in our workshop.

Logistics

We will deliver the sauna safely to your home. If access is complicated, we’ll visit the site in advance to choose the ideal installation method. On request, we can provide a foundation design.

FAQ

How does delivery and installation work?

We deliver our saunas fully assembled. They are placed on your property using a truck with a hydraulic arm or a crane. In this case, installation takes approximately 1–2 hours. After that, your electrician will connect the electric heater; if you choose a wood-burning stove, you can start using the sauna immediately.

If the conditions on your property do not allow for this, we will deliver the sauna disassembled and assemble it on-site. Based on photos of your property, we will assess accessibility, and if necessary, we will visit you in person beforehand.

Does the price also include shipping and assembly?

The price includes complete assembly of the sauna in our workshop, placement of the finished unit on your property, and installation of the wood-burning stove. The electrical wiring is prepared so that your electrician can easily connect it.

The total price does not include transport — this is calculated individually based on the installation location. In cases of difficult access, where on-site assembly is required, the assembly is charged separately and priced accordingly.

What kind of access to the property is required?

Ideally, we can reach your property with a truck equipped with a hydraulic arm. However, we have transported saunas using an excavator, tractor, forklift, or crane — we always find a suitable solution.

Who provides the earthworks and site preparation for the sauna?

The site preparation is arranged by the client. After signing the contract, we will provide you with a layout plan for the ground screws.

The sauna can also be placed on concrete tiles if the surface is level. If concrete footings are required due to the soil conditions, we will be happy to provide a foundation design for an additional fee.

What is the power consumption of the electric stove, and what site preparation does it require?

The power consumption of the electric heater varies depending on its output. For the Mini sauna, we use a 9 kW heater, which consumes 9 kWh per hour. For larger saunas, we install 12 kW heaters, which consume 12 kWh of electricity per hour. With an average electricity price of 2.5 CZK / kWh, the heating-up phase (approx. 1 hour) costs roughly 22.5 CZK for the Mini sauna and 30 CZK for the 2×2 and 4×2 models. After that, the heater maintains the temperature and cycles on and off as needed, so the actual cost of a full sauna session may vary slightly.

Electrical connection requirements: three-phase 400 V power supply (3/N~400 V).

How often does the sauna require maintenance?

We recommend treating the interior of the sauna once a year with a suitable coating for the walls and benches.

The exterior of the sauna should ideally be treated every two years with a fresh coat of oil-based stain. We regularly remind our clients about maintenance.

What custom modifications can be made to the sauna?

We can place the sauna door on either the right or left side of the structure, depending on the layout of your property — this adjustment is already included in the price. As part of our customization options, we can also accommodate individual client requests, such as additional glazing, adjusting the sauna’s dimensions for a specific location, or designing an entirely bespoke structure tailored to your site.

What warranty do you provide?

The warranty for the heaters varies by manufacturer. Narvi heaters come with a standard warranty of 24 months, while HUUM heaters include an extended 36-month warranty for private use. We provide a standard 2-year warranty on our saunas.
