Also, thanks to Peter, a DIY sauna product was created, which we have had in our heads for a long time. Read the story of the first sauna, which was created not in the workshop, but directly under the hands of our client. It is located in beautiful Dobřichovice near Prague.
At first, we ended our phone call a little confused. But we are glad that we called each other the next day and created a DIY product. What do you think about that?
That everything is as it should be, and communication went as well as the construction of the sauna itself.
With your DIY sauna, it was actually a quickie. In December we signed the contract and by the beginning of February you already had a sauna built in the garden. How do you rate the whole collaboration?
I think you've got it all set up, you're big pros. One day a big lego puzzle came to our house, where nothing came together and everything fit together.
What about the instruction and composition of the sauna, was it intuitive, or challenging?
We did the construction with my friends, I can't imagine being alone. On the other hand, the sauna is not for individuals, but for a group of people, so everything is fine. When we didn't know any more, we helped ourselves by turning the instructions upside down, for example.
During construction, we talked on the phone and it seemed like you were in a good and funny party. How long did the construction take you and how many friends were involved in it?
We were four guys together, and that's just right. One of them is a joiner, otherwise the others are lovers of wood and kits. I think we started in the morning and by 4pm it was done.
Did you have a pre-appointed construction manager, or did it all go organically?
Organic collaboration is a beautiful expression.
Well, how do you sauna in a sauna with round windows, do you use it often?
Yeah, that's why I built her. For me, it does exactly everything I expected from it, and in addition, the light goes beautifully in the evening. It is a very pleasant cube where it relaxes beautifully.
What do you like most about saunas?
Closing doors and cracking wood in the stove.
Do you have any rituals associated with it?
The No.
There is also a natural pond with filtration near your house. Outside of saunas, do you also like to harden up, or do you primarily associate it?
I can't imagine a sauna without cold water. And our bio pool meets this quality with its location even in warm summer. You open the door of the sauna and go there. The most.
We happened to be in Dobřichovice before we visited you for a DIY sauna. It is a beautiful place with a big river, where not only locals but also Praguans come to bathe and a good pub in the tower. How did you find yourself there?
We wanted this place for about 7 years. And all of a sudden it came out. There was nothing to deal with. Accessibility to the forest, but also to the city is important to me.
